We’re now building out a platform to give you a voice on what gets shown in theaters.
We saw it coming in 2012, and got to work solving how we could survive the coming Hollywood collapse. That’s why after over a year of hard work, what was then called America’s Choice Studios applied for a utility patent with the USPTO in 2015 for a new technology based system to finance theatrical films using the passion and power of the audience! After nine long years, and appeals in-between, that patent was finally granted and Cineocracy was born.
So-called “Hollywood” has spent the last decade ridiculing and blaming their audiences for their own failures while simultaneously making a decade of flops, duds and bombs. Now after losing their shirt, they’re fleeing California to Eastern Europe and tax haven states to survive. We’re taking a different path — building a new film industry with you, one where fans and audiences are no longer ignored.
We love cinema just like you and we’re hitting the campaign trail to recruit our people to join us. Keep your ancient sound stages, your storied pomp. How does it work?
We’re taking the gambling out of the theatrical business. It’s time to open film development to audiences. Our movies will use consumer presales in the form of crowdsourcing, crowdfunding and crowd voting. One great idea can gain enough support to be greenlit. Movies switch from being a casino bet to a custom manufacturing job at scale. When they arrive in theaters, we are already at break even.

Ethan Griffith is an Emmy Award-winning producer, documentary filmmaker, field production manager and creative marketing strategist with 20 years’ of experience carefully threading stories together across compelling campaigns, television documentary and digital content. His background includes work for Paramount, Disney, 20th Century Fox, CBS, ABC, PBS, National Geographic, and Discovery Channel.
